As I wandered by, he caught my eye
he sat there in serenity
immaculately dressed with a turban on his head
creating magic with his fingers,
as I found myself stop by, and linger.
He was tranquil, indulged in his melody,
unstirred by his surrounding,
as he played his own symphony.
I stood there with an empty heart,
as thoughts arose and tore me apart.
I had forgotten how to live,
while trying to chase a mirage,
trying to fill all voids,
while I had stopped listening to my inner child voice.
When did I stop chirping and dancing in the rain?
Was I ever going to uncover that person again?
When did I wrap myself inside a cocoon?
How long does it take to evolve?
I want to be break-free, breathe, and start flying soon.
I stood there still in transendence,
thinking about all the debris of emotions,
it was time for me to leave,
the race of life called for my attendance.
Stared at his deep eyes, and unobtrusive smile,
his music was incantation,
Did I break the shackles?
I found myself hum my unsung melody,
I took the vow for a new life,
as I walked the aisle,
for yet another beautiful thousand mile.
